West Bengal state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited ISKCON headquarters in Mayapur.

She landed by helicopter on the ISKCON grounds two minutes before the appointed time and immediately visited the temple. While still in the air, she viewed the huge temple of the Vedic Planetarium, which is scheduled to be inaugurated in 2022. Mamata Banerjee, accompanied by other state officials, paid homage to the Lord in front of the altar in the temple and offered puja to Radha-Madhava, Nrisimhadev and Panchatattva. Gopal Krishna Goswami, Public Relations Minister Anuttama prabhu and Ambarisha prabhu attended Mamata Banerjee’s meeting. After the temple, accompanied by a hundred and fifty press and television correspondents, Mamata walked briskly to Srila Prabhupada’s Pushpa Samadhi. Entering the altar to Srila Prabhupada’s murti, she offered a huge garland to ISKCON founder-acharya Srila Prabhupada, in recognition of his outstanding service in establishing the spiritual culture of Krishna consciousness throughout the world.
